We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Manager to join our client, a regional leader in multi-trade building services for commercial, governmental, and residential clients. As a trusted partner of the Ministry of Defence, health, education, local government, and leisure sectors across Southern and Southwest England.
The successful Commercial Manager will be responsible for maintaining and contributing to the company’s commercial procedures, minimizing risks, and identifying opportunities as they arise. As a Commercial Manager, you will be required to liaise with stakeholders, produce comprehensive quotations, and engage with the supply chain. You will also have to understand H&S regulations and industry requirements, as well as authorize supply chain invoices and settle accounts.
To be successful in this role, the Commercial Manager must be a confident and dynamic self-starter with strong integrity. They must be highly numerate and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, negotiation skills, and effective time management skills. Additionally, they must be adaptable, flexible, and able to multitask.
The ideal candidate should have relevant industry qualifications and commercial experience in a construction or maintenance environment. They must have a working knowledge of facilities management processes and strong working relationships with clients and the supply chain. Microsoft Office software experience is essential, and any experience in estimating, contract variation management, formal quantity surveying, M&E, and risk management is desirable.
